Akshay Kohli

Akshay joins FSG with professional experience in consulting, economic research, and quantitative modeling, as well as a broad understanding of the infrastructure and agriculture sectors. At FSG, Akshay works within the Inclusive Markets approach area. His current project, on the theme of Early Childhood Education (ECE), aims to catalyze the scaling of an affordable, high-quality, private-sector ECE industry, catering to low-income households in urban India. His work ranges from understanding the policy landscape for ECE in India to profiling customers and sizing the market for low-cost ECE.

Before FSG

Prior to joining FSG, Akshay worked at the economic consultancy Cambridge Economic Policy Associates (CEPA). While at CEPA, he worked on projects in the infrastructure and agriculture sectors with clients such as World Bank and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Additionally, Akshay has worked with HSBC’s global financial sector policy team on a project to estimate the lending costs faced by banks in the UK, and with the University of Cambridge’s economic research group on a project that aimed to improve the efficiency of the supply chain of maize in Tanzania.
