Role at FSG
As Assistant Controller, Lauren oversees many of the financial transactions at FSG, including financial statement preparation, payroll and bookkeeping, interacting with auditors and regulatory authorities, and providing data analysis for the firm. She also managed the employee benefits function for several years before a formal HR team was established.
Lauren joined FSG with several years of experience in public accounting. During that time she served as a team leader for audits and compliance testing of low-income housing projects, and was a key player in expanding the firm’s role in hotel management client service. Outside of accounting, she obtained a certificate in holistic health counseling from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

On working at FSG
“I’ve been fortunate to watch FSG grow over the years and nearly triple in size from the time I started here. It has offered me so many opportunities to learn how to adapt to fast growth, and how to build out our team and our systems in response. I had wanted to begin the next phase of my career with an organization that has a genuine mission to generate positive changes in the world. I wanted to be challenged by a dedicated firm with a mission similar to my own values. FSG has enabled me to do all of that. I feel very lucky to be part of such a dynamic and growing company, surrounded by so many motivated and inspiring colleagues!”
