Role at FSG
At FSG, Neeraja has led projects for clients across sectors to address challenges such as health equity in the United States, access to HIV prevention for women and girls in sub-Saharan Africa, and financial inclusion in developed and developing markets. She has worked extensively with multi-national corporations such as Becton Dickenson and Barclays to develop market-driven, shared value strategies. Her clients have also included large private foundations including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Nike Foundation, and corporate foundations such as the Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation. In recent years, Neeraja has increasingly worked to strengthen international partnerships such as the EYElliance, a consortium of actors seeking to improve access to eye care and eyeglasses, and the USAID-funded OPTIONS Consortium, whose goal is to accelerate the market introduction and scale-up of female-controlled HIV prevention technologies. Drawing from these experiences, she has been a lead author on multiple papers, covering topics such as models for effective international partnership and shared value opportunities for banks.
Prior to joining FSG, Neeraja explored many facets of the ever-expanding gray area between businesses and society. As a member of the Social Sector Practice at McKinsey & Company, Neeraja worked with foundations and nonprofits to strengthen and measure their social impact. Neeraja was also part of a small team that founded The Blue Fund, a socially-responsible investment firm that incorporated the political activities of companies into investment screens, where she oversaw research and marketing efforts.

On working at FSG
“I have worked to drive positive social impact in various ways throughout my life—but never have I felt more certain of succeeding than I do at FSG. Every person here is completely focused on achieving positive social change and doing so in a way that is effective and efficient. I never imagined engaging my love of Excel and my passion for social issues simultaneously, but that mix of skills and ideas is exactly what makes FSG tick. I am thrilled to be a part of the wonderful team at FSG, and continue to be excited to contribute to the difficult and important work that we do every day.”
