Rishi spent nearly seven years at Monitor Group, latterly as an Associate Partner and a member of firm’s leadership team in India. There, he worked with clients from industries such as FMCG, packaged goods, telecom, and automotive. At Monitor Group, Rishi led Monitor Inclusive Market's rural sanitation team since its inception. He led the team’s work with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation around developing the business models and action plan for “Supporting Sustainable Sanitation Improvements” interventions in rural Bihar. The project aims to provide access to 100,000 households over a period of five years. He has also done work at the bottom of the pyramid, looking at commercialization opportunities in the agriculture sector. In the past he has primarily worked in the consumer sectors and remains interested in exploring ways for improving access at the bottom of the pyramid.
Previously, Rishi was part of Russell Reynolds Associate where he led the consumer and not-for-profit practices of the firm, in India. Prior to that, he spent over five years with Unilever in various roles across Africa, Asia, and the United States of America.
