The Power of Place-Based Partnerships in the Fight for Equity

InsidePhilanthropy published an op-ed by leaders of the Collective Impact Forum, an initiative of FSG and the Aspen Institute Forum for Community Solutions.

The piece argues that now is the time to double down on supporting multi-sector place-based partnerships as a key strategy for advancing equity at a local level. Given the recent Fearless Fund ruling in Georgia and last year’s Supreme Court’s affirmative action ruling, they highlight the importance of philanthropic support for place-based collaboratives and offer five opportunities for funders.

The piece is co-authored by Jennifer Splansky Juster, Executive Director of the Collective Impact Forum; Cindy Santos, Senior Associate for Strategic Partnerships at the Aspen Institute Forum for Community Solutions; and Monique Miles, Vice President of the Aspen Institute, the Director of the Opportunity Youth Forum, and Managing Director of the Aspen Institute Forum for Community Solutions.
