Madhav joins FSG with a background in energy science and engineering and exposure to education and agriculture. He is currently working on a WASH project that aids national and sub-national governments in evaluating the impact of different market rules and policies in sub-Saharan Africa.
Before FSG
Prior to joining FSG, Madhav completed his Bachelors and Masters in Technology in Energy Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. During his tenure in university, he was the highest student office bearer, General Secretary of Academic Affairs (UG). His team led IIT Bombay to be the first institute to transition into a completely online mode of teaching & evaluation during the challenging times posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Madhav pursued internships and projects in college that gave him exposure to the energy, agriculture, and education impact areas. He worked with the Sub District Magistrate of Dahanu, Palghar District to develop an education administration monitoring application and aided scheme delivery. He also worked in Urban Company, an aggregator home services company, on scaling up their video consultation program. At TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute), he looked into the qualitative analysis of PM KUSUM policy—a solar pumps subsidy scheme. His M.Tech thesis project compared the energy, economics, and emissions of three-wheeler internal combustion engine vehicles and electric vehicles in the Indian context.
