Nikhil Bumb focuses on purpose-led and market shaping strategies that build more inclusive and collaborative systems with the ultimate goal of increasing economic opportunity, advancing well-being, and improving outcomes for undervalued communities and the planet. At FSG, he leads the Corporate practice, bringing depth of experience that spans a range of industries as well as issues—including health, agriculture, sustainability, financial inclusion, economic development, and humanitarian relief. In addition to multinational corporations, Nikhil has advised governments, investors, NGOs, foundations, and social enterprises across Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
Nikhil has experience living in the United States, Kenya, and India. Along with the publications listed below, he is also a co-author and curator of the Beyond Trade-Offs series originally published in The Economist.
Before FSG
Nikhil started his career at ZS Associates as a marketing and strategy consultant for the healthcare and life sciences industries. During business school, he began exploring the intersection between business and society. Prior to FSG, Nikhil helped build and launch Deloitte Consulting’s Social Impact Practice and also worked on multiple shared value projects with Technoserve’s Strategic Initiatives group. At Deloitte, his engagements spanned public, private, and social sector clients across issues areas including agricultural development, inclusive economies, humanitarian aid, economic development, and global health. Previously, Nikhil helped Medtronic develop a penetration strategy and framework for a shared value strategy addressing unmet clinical needs for underserved populations in emerging and frontier markets. He has also advised several nonprofits and social enterprises in Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
