On June 5, 2023, FSG hosted a webinar on the historic opportunity to invest in equitable place-based development through a wave of new federal programs.
Over the last year, Congress has passed several federal programs that collectively provide trillions of dollars for local economic development. In FSG’s work with foundations and corporations, we have seen a flurry of conversation about how to ensure that this wave of funding, as well as other federal and state funding, has a meaningful impact on advancing equity and opportunity.
In this conversation, panelists from both funders and place-based collaboratives shared how they are approaching this historic federal funding and ensuring that community voices are centered in planning efforts.
